ERASMUS PROGRAMME 2007
Diagnostic Radiology
The course addresses third year students in Erasmus Radiography group. The focus in the course is on technique, nursing and a literature review. The subjects and the way of teaching will prepare the students for a professional attitude in knowledge, practical clinical skills, professional ethics, analytical and critical approach, problem solving proficiency based on conscience and well tried experience. The form of work is based on active learning, critical thinking and the students own seeking for knowledge.
The aims of this course are that the students will broaden and deepen their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in a chosen area within diagnostic radiology and improve their skills in analysing and report scientific facts in diagnostic radiology.
The course is divided into 4 parts.

Study Goals for the course are that at the end of the course the students shall:
 have an insight in radiological work in Sweden
 be able to perform general examinations, explain procedures, understand and practice radiation protection
 be competent in patient care
 be able to explain different choices of examination techniques in relation to different diagnosis
 have written a case study concerning a patient's examination in neuroradiology describing anatomy, disease, radiographic procedures, patient care and radiation protection
 have trained their ability to find and analyse scientific articles concerning chosen case studies
 have presented a case study
 be orientated in the Swedish language and society
