Erasmus course program
E R A S M U S P R O G R A M 2006
Fontys Hogescholen, Department MBRT
Eindhoven - The Netherlands
Introduction:
The teaching method we use at our Department MBRT is named Problem Based Learning. This teaching method includes tutorials, lectures, discussions, group work, demonstrations, workshops, practical training, presentations and of course studying on your own.
Practical training in our skills-lab is one of the possibilities to gain more practical experience. There will also be practical training at several hospitals.
The hospitals where the clinical placements take place, perform all conventional diagnostics, CT, interventional procedures, ultra-sound, MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and optional Nuclear Medicine.
MRI is the main topic during this course. During the clinical placement the student is to gain practical experience related to MRI procedures. The hospital can offer 1 week of MRI-training at least.
At the end of the course, the student has to perform a presentation. This presentation has to deal with the main topic MRI. The presentation will last for approximately 15 minutes. Performance will take place in the last week of the program.
Programme:
During this course, education will cover a lot off topics. The main issue is MRI but there will also be some other subjects like:
- Radiology
- CT- Computer Tomography
- Ultra sound
- Cultural program
- Language assessment related to General Radiology
There is a concept of the timetable which will be used by our department during the course. Because of the dependency of several external lecturers it is not possible for us to present a more detailed timetable.
